breast-cancer-ribbonFighting cancer is a team effort. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone.

relay4lifeAt the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from cancer. By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Are you ready to get in shape for 2010? Do you want to hear about the latest 5 minute work out, miracle diet, or surgical solution to get you fit?

Here are a few tips that can make your walk more beneficial to your body:

  1. Walk Uphill: Climbing provides a better work out for your back!
  2. Carry Weights: Adding a light load to your walk can tone your upper body.
  3. Wear Good Shoes: Most often people mistake comfort for performance. Make sure you’re wearing a shoe that is meant for training rather than style.
